Pioneer Days is a valley-wide community celebration held annually in mid-to-late July (exact dates vary year to year). Host duties rotate each year across Safford, Thatcher, and Pima — Pima hosts in 2026 — so specific venues change annually rather than being fixed to one location. The celebration features a carnival, live entertainment, rodeos, and traditional family games.
